Fees and the flywheel
What traders pay
| Chain | Venue fee | Creator fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solana | 0.95 % protocol | 0.30 % creator, fixed | 1.25 % |
| Robinhood Chain | 1 % curve fee | 0 to 10 %, Pons creator tax | 1 % to 11 % |
The Pons creator tax is set once at launch. The pump.fun creator fee is fixed by pump.fun.
Where creator fees go
On pump.fun. The creator fee goes to the coin's sharing config. Glint sets it, once, to the creator's wallet and the pad, 50 % each by default. After update_fee_shares_v2 the shares are locked by pump.fun itself, and each shareholder claims from pump.fun with their own wallet. The keeper cannot take the creator's share.
On Pons. The creator tax goes to the coin's GlintVault. split() is public:
| Share | Goes to |
|---|---|
creatorShareBps of the fees | the creator's Robinhood address, if one was given |
| the rest | the pool |
With no address given, all of it goes to the pool.
How fees get collected on Pons
The Pons curve accumulates fees. sweepFees pushes them to the Pons fee escrow and the vault claims them with claim. collect() and split() do both and anyone can call them.
The flywheel
- More coins launched means more creator fees collected.
- The pad's share funds the pool, and part of it buys $GLINT and burns it.
- A bigger pool lets the maker cover more coins and larger flows.
- Better-held pegs bring more coins.
What Glint takes
Only the pad's share of pump.fun creator fees and the Pons fees that reach the pool. There is no launch fee beyond what Pons charges (0.0005 ETH, paid by the pool) and the cost of the alignment buy.
