Simulation method
The lab and the home hero run the same simulator. This page says what is real in it and what is made up.
Real
- The two bonding curves, with their reserves, fees and graduation points.
- The Pons creator fee.
- The opening values in dollars and the alignment step.
- The maker rule and its three-step rebalance.
- Cash kept per chain and inventory kept per chain, as in the keeper.
Made up
- The traders. Each tick, each chain receives a random number of buys and sells with random sizes.
- The mood. A slow sine wave pushes net demand up and down.
- The louder chain. Another sine wave makes one chain busier than the other, which is what creates spreads.
- Sizes. Trade sizes are drawn in dollars, 8 plus a half-normal around 80, so both chains see comparable money.
- The rate. SOL and ETH each follow a random walk with a shared component. The volatility is a lab control.
Determinism
A seed fixes the whole run. The same seed and the same settings always give the same chart. New market draws another seed.
What the charts show
- Price chart. Fully diluted value of the coin on each chain, in dollars, log scale. The dashed lines are the same market without the maker.
- Spread chart.
usdPricePump / usdPricePons - 1over time. The green band is the allowed range. - KPIs. Share of ticks inside the band with and without the maker, number of maker trades, pool cash from start to end in dollars.
Why there is no profit figure
A coin's price moves far more than the spread between its two chains, and the SOL/ETH rate moves too. The pool's value at the end mostly reflects those moves, not how well the maker worked, so the lab shows the share of time inside the band instead. Sizing the pool has the table.
Tests
tests/core.test.mjs runs the engine in node: the opening values match the on-chain constants, graduation points match, fees match, the maker obeys the band, inventory and cash stay per chain, a move in the rate is closed, and over 20 seeds a $5,000 pool keeps the coin in band at least 85 % of the time in a moderate market.
